Who Is Ms. LaQuita S. Lewis
Let me be real with you for a second.
I did not plan to become a life coach. I did not set out to write books or build businesses or help people figure out their next move. What I did was show up for a 14 year old girl who everybody else had written off.
I was working for the Department of Human Services when I got assigned to a case that changed my entire life. A teenage girl. Fourteen years old. Kept running away from home. Her parents were exhausted and ready to give up on her completely. On paper she looked like a problem. When I sat down with her I saw something completely different. I saw a young person who needed someone to actually see her.
I worked with her and her family and something shifted. Not just for her. For me. Because in that moment I realized this was what I was made to do. Not just manage cases. Not just file reports. Actually reach people. Actually change the direction of someone’s life.
That experience led me to found Teen Mothers Second Chance, a non-profit I created to give young mothers a second chance at the life they felt they had given up on the moment they bacame a parent. And from there everything else followed.
Over 15 years of working in behavioral health, child welfare, case management, and agency leadership. A CARF-accredited counseling agency I built from the ground up. A dual certification as a Life Coach and Youth and Family Coach. A published book. Seven personal development journals. And a mission that has never changed since that day I sat across from a teenager who just needed someone to believe in her.
I am Ms. LaQuita S. Lewis. I am a mother of three, Jordon, Shemar, and Princess, and a devoted homeschooling mom who knows firsthand what it means to juggle everything while still trying to build something that matters. I hold a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice Administration from Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma.
I build LSL Global Empowerment because I know what it feels like to be stuck. I know what it feels like to want more and not know how to get there. I know what it feels like to be in a season of life that does not look the way you planned and wonder if things will ever shift.
They will. I am living proof.
When you work with me or read my books or go through my journals you are not getting a coach who learned this from a textbook. You are getting a woman who has walked through fire and came out on the other side still standing, still building and still showing up for the people who need her.
I am the person you call when you are ready to stop surviving and start moving forward. Whether you are 13 or 53 I will meet you exactly where you are and walk with you toward where you want to be.
Because it does not matter what you grow through. Just do not give up.
Keep moving forward.
